Странный, но популярнейший мировой стереотип, который даже я, Админчег Muz4in.Net считаю аксиомой. Но так ли это и почему так принято считать?
Американские копы с круглыми лицами и постоянно жующие пончики - стереотип мирового масштаба. Если вспомнить фильмы и мультфильмы, то сразу вспоминается, что это было в "Полицейской Академии", "Симпсонах", "Гриффинах"... Да везде... В любом фильме про американских полицейских присутствует сцена с поедающими пончики фараонами.
Итак, где и когда этот стереотип возник?
Что касается "когда", то здесь не так всё и ясно. Тем не менее, есть факты, что начиная с начала 1950-х годов, кафе, где продавались пончики, стали самым популярным местом отдыха полицейских. Но никто точно не скажет, было ли это раньше или нет.
Относительно того вопроса, почему кафе с пончика были так популярны среди полиции, ответ прост. Тогда именно магазины и кафе, где продавались пончики работали фактически до последнего клиента, иногда даже круглосуточно, всё из-за тех же полицейских.
В то время полицейский на ночном дежурстве, если хотел перекусить и выпить кофе, просто не имел выбора. Тогда сеть американских кафешек Diners была мекой для офицеров, как правило, потому что их еду можно было взять с собой, всё делалось быстро и они работали тогда, когда никто другой не работал. Полицейские на ночном дежурстве также ценили тот факт, что пончики там были всегда свежие и всегда можно было сесть и отдохнуть. Учитывая то, что всё своё рабочее время копы проводили в машине под постоянно рабочим кондеем, это был настоящий рай.
На самом деле получается, что кофе и пончики просто бонус, к возможности спокойно отдохнуть вне своего автомобиля. Также ночные патрули ценили эти места за то, что это было фактически единственно удобным и светлым местом, где они в комфорте могли сесть и заполнить все требуемые бумаги и отчеты.
Да, сегодня подобных мест, которые открыты 24 часа в сутки, очень много, но пончики стали просто культовым местом для американских полицейских. Например, во время недавнего Бостонского марафона, на котором был совершен теракт, были закрыты все придорожные закусочные, кроме, да вы догадались, сети Dunkin' Donuts, которая была открыта, чтобы служить полицейским место для отдыха и наблюдательным пунктом.
Но современные полицейские отказываются от этой традиции, да всё из-за здорового образа жизни. Но так или иначе, стереотип будет жить.
Бонусные факты:
В США есть Национальный день пончика и начали его отмечать ещё в 1938 году. Он был задуман как способ почитания так называемых "doughgirls" - женщин, которые рисковали своей жизнью принося свежие пончики солдатам на передовую. Дата? Это 7-ое июня каждого года.
В США даже есть специализированный сайт для полицейских, где они размещают свои фотографии с пончиками. Такая соц.сеть узкой направленности. При этом там ежедневно появляется более 100 фотографий
